FUNDS
Foundation > Funds Gifts to the SCPH Foundation are deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Through the years, the SCPH Foundation has been blessed with gifts from numerous benefactors. The Foundation's gratitude for this outstanding philanthropic support is as deep and wide as its commitment to the SCPH Mission. The lives of residents and clients are enhanced in many ways by these gifts. In turn, those who give are equally blessed by their whole-hearted generosity. Since gifts are vital to the overall success of the SCPH Foundation, the following funds have been established: The Benevolence Endowment Fund This fund provides financial assistance to "contract residents" living in SCPH's Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their assets. The Emergency Relief Fund This fund assists residents, regardless of where they live and employees regardless of where they work who have found themselves in crisis. Several have received assistance from the fund, enabling them to press on through unforeseen and tragic circumstances. The Capital Improvement Fund Donations to this fund assist in the purchase of equipment and renovation of our facilities as needed. When major renovations and new facilities are to be constructed, capital fund-raising campaigns may be utilized to solicit funds. Opportunities for name recognition are considered. The Program Fund Gifts to this fund are used for various programs or services. The Transportation Fund This fund supports the transportation needs of SCPH. A fleet of vans and buses with chair lifts are used through out the system. Named Endowment Funds Named endowments can be established with an initial gift of $25,000. The endowment may be permanently invested with income only being used in support of the work of the SCPH Foundation, SCPH, or in support of a Home, Facility, program or service. The fund may be named to honor or memorialize a loved-one. Click here for more information on how to make your own contribution. |
